Media Kit - Greg Warr’s Bio

Greg Warr is a successful real estate developer and Wall Street trader; maintaining his own seat on the New York Futures Exchange, and is also the best-selling author of Make More Money Investing in Multiunits, published by Dearborn, a Kaplan Professional Company.

As well as being an in-demand nationally-known seminar speaker, Greg Warr makes numerous television appearances on Fox News, MSNBC, CNN, and Bloomberg discussing the ramifications of the economy on real estate and the stock market.

Greg’s introduction into the real estate industry began at an early age as his father was the owner of an architectural firm involved in New York City and the surrounding area. Visiting job sites and evaluating development plans was a natural part of the Greg’s upbringing.

After college, with a double major in Economics and Finance, Greg went to work on Wall Street.  Early in his career, Greg worked with the largest-producing broker at Lehman Brothers with $250,000,000 under management.  He then moved to the New York Stock Exchange, working with one of the largest floor traders.  In 1997, he bought his own seat on the New York Futures Exchange and became himself one of the largest derivatives traders on the floor. He maintains his seat there to this day.

In 2000, Greg started to diversify into real estate investing and, seeing the power in leveraging real estate, he soon became an expert in the buying and selling of large properties.  His book on the subject, Make More Money Investing in MultiUnits, is published by Kaplan Publishing, the largest publishing house in the business/finance field and Greg is continually in demand as a speaker around the country.  He has trained well over 30,000 people in the buying and selling of large properties.

Today, Greg still remains active on the Exchange, with most of his time spent investing in real estate and in the development of properties.  He is the founder of Warr LLC and currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the company. As such, Greg is responsible for all aspects of property acquisition, development, management and capital formation.

Greg also mentors other real estate investors, showing them the intricacies of the real estate market while adding what no other “mentor” can add: a seasoned Wall Street financial background.  Beginning with an understanding of international and domestic markets to lay down the foundations of his successful investing philosophy, Greg works to eradicate the out-moded methods taught by others, replacing them with more timely and hard-charging procedures.  Further, in his experience as a trader he brings to the structure a whole new way of growing and managing real estate investments, a proprietary strategy he calls “Repositioning”.
